Apple also announced a new Blackmagic eGPU with the Radeon RX Vega 56 and 8GB or HBM2 memory. having twice the power output might sound like a great. If anyone has got any ideas or can shed some light on this conundrum it would be most appreciated. The new GPU options will be available in late November. Making your exhaust pop and crackle can be achieved with out a tune. But its worth mentioning, that the Tascam can use core audio, which sucks, or its own 'bit accurate' driver, which runs pretty smooth. Like i said the problems only occur when running Maschine in stand alone but runs fine inside Logic pro X. Im running a Tascam US-122 MkII on OSX 10.10.5 on a 2014 Macbook Pro Retina and dont have such issues. My set up is a late 2011 15" Macbook Pro, 16Gig Ram, 1TB solid state drive, 2.2Ghz i7 processor, using Echo Firewire8 audio interface at 4800Khz (I've used 44k and the macs inbuilt core audio at 48 and 44 resolution with the same results). If your new M1 MacBook Pro is facing any sort of sound problems, such as NO SOUND/ Crackling/ Buzzing/ Interference/ Left or Right speaker Not Working and so.
I have for example 4 groups loaded with sound banks from different Maschine packs, a group with a Reaktor patch and a group with G-Force Oddity2 and the whole thing just goes into CPU overload and I can only create very simple projects before the CPU craps out.
Now the strange part, I decided to run Maschine simply in stand alone to learn some techniques and so forth and the performance is terrible. I've been using Maschine 2.4 (studio controller) inside Logic pro x for a while now with no performance issues, I've used multiple groups and had Maschine host third party plugins from Arturia and G-Force while still running inside Logic pro in quite complex projects, lots of plugins & automation and so on still no performance problems.
